Why did you decide to become a doctor? Why did you move to Mission, TX?
“I decided to become a doctor to serve others – to be in a profession where I could be involved in a meaningful way in the lives of others. Dr. Havener and I met during our residencies at University of Iowa and decided to move here together in 1994 to be involved in medical missionary work along the border, to work with under-served patients, and to develop a medical practice that would honor God.”
Dr. Johnson has served across the border of Mexico and also in Quito, Ecuador and Togo, Africa in medical missions. He volunteered his medical services in Haiti for a week immediately after earthquake.
